Breaking news: CoMA Amsterdam is coming!

On Saturday, March 23, CoMA Eindhoven and CoMA Maastricht organised a contemporary music workshop in the Splendor music building in Amsterdam. Twenty five amateur musicians  from Amsterdam and surroundings joined us to study two CoMA compositions, conducted by Lucas Vis. At the closing concert, CoMA Maastricht and CoMA Eindhoven performed a few pieces and on top of that, the complete workshop ensemble (55 musicians) played the works rehearsed during the day: Counting my Numberless Fingers by Alexander Campkin and Melancholy processional by Gabriel Jackson.

Not only did we have a very nice day playing together, but the Amsterdam musicians are so enthusiastic that they want to start a CoMA Amsterdam. That was our goal! It took a while, but CoMA has now crossed the ‘Great Rivers’, spreading this fruitful concept of contemporary music by amateurs throughout the rest of the Netherlands. If you want to join CoMA Amsterdam: send an email to info@comaeindhoven.nl and you will receive the contact details of CoMA Amsterdam in conception.
