PEPER IN JE OOR

An overview of Festival PEPER IN JE OOR

On the 7th of March more than 140 singers and musicians, from 3 to 80 years old, participated in the Festival of Contemporary Music for All PEPER IN JE OOR in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. In the compilation you get an impression of all that happened that day, from ensemble rehearsals to workshops and the final concert.

CoMA Eindhoven en CoMA Maastricht organised this Allcomers Event in collaboration with Centrum voor de Kunsten Eindhoven.

PEPER IN JE OOR was part of the International Festival of Contemporary Music for All that takes place every two year during the first weekend of March. This time 23 different towns participated in the festival, all with their own programme.

CoMAMaastricht commissioned this work for youth ensemble as part of the festival PEPER IN JE OOR. In this video movement one (out of two) can be enjoyed.

‘3 Movements’ by Kate Whitley

This composition was commissioned by CoMA UK for the Festival of Contemporary Music for All 2020. During the weekend of 7-8 March it was performed by several ensembles in the UK, the Netherlands (PEPER IN JE OOR) and Germany.

CoMA Eindhoven commissioned this work with financial support of the Steinhoff Fonds.

‘Jazz Suite’ by David Bevan

This work was composed in 2018 by David Bevan in the context of the yearly workshop for compositions students from the Conservatory of Bristol and the CoMA Bristol Ensemble. Performed by the CoMAMAaastricht Ensemble during festival PEPR IN JE OOR on 7 March 2020 in Eindhoven
